Head of Commercial Development

    EPO Berlin-Buch is offering a position as Head of Commercial Development for EPO.

    To strengthen our team in the field of business development we are now looking for a business development executive.

    The EPO Berlin-Buch GmbH is an international operating company (CRO) focusing on services for cancer research based in Berlin Buch, Germany. EPO GmbH specializes in preclinical drug research in oncology.

    Tasks:

    The Business Development Head will:

    • Establish innovative strategies to generate new customers as well as extract additional value from current customers
    • Approach/target customers, built trusted relationships to facilitate opportunities and create long-term opportunities in the business
    • Be responsible for working alongside other management members in EPO to oversee science, business, sales, and strategic marketing in preclinical oncology contract reseach
    • Perform a highly cross-functional job role with a focus on strategy, to determine company’s positioning in the current marketplace
    • Search the biotech and pharma market to identify new clients
    • Analyze the needs of biotech and pharma companies in preclinical oncology drug development
    • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
    • Facilitate scientific expertise and networking and identify relevant research and business conferences and attend such events
    • Prepare presentations, webinars and supporting marketing material to inform clients about new developments in the company’s products
    • Develop quotes and proposals
    • Be responsible for creating reports to show and track the growth of the business
    • Provide training to scientific project managers to develop their business skills

    Requirements:

    • Masters degree in (bio) science or comparable degree with knowledge in experimental and translational oncology, additional business degrees are beneficial
    • A few years experience working in business development
    • Research skills to be able to analyze new business opportunities
    • Provide leadership to a team and ability for teamwork
    • Very good communication and IT skills and creative talent
    • Knowledge of the biotech and pharma industry and drug development market
    • Language skills: English, German

    • EPO is offering a permanent contract under German law with gross salary payments according to industry standards plus a bonus plan amounting up to 50% of gross salary and car allowance
